Top US morning show broadcasts live from Duns Castle

We had an amazing start to the week. While the Berwickshire Hunter Trials were underway in the fields of the estate, the castle hosted the live broadcast of “Today on NBC”, the top-ranking morning show in the US, as the launch event to HomeAway’s PR Week. Presenters Al Roker, Sheinelle Jones, Keir Simmons and Kelly Cobiella immersed themselves in a programme of activities and performances showcasing Scottish culture. These included performances by The Red Hot Chilli Pipers, dancers from Flings’n’Things and the Duns Pipe Band and featured celebrity chef Carina Contini as well as Highland Games, Archery, Falconry, Shetland Ponies, Clydesdales. It was also interspersed with B-roll footage of other parts of Scotland including Edinburgh, Fife and Loch Ness and has been hailed by VisitScotland as a massive coup for Scottish Tourism.
