Duns Castle announces Residential Art Classes for 2019
Learn new skills and improve your technique with tutor Claudia Petretti in the inspiring setting of Duns Castle in the Scottish Borders.
The next residential art weekend, with tutor Claudia Petretti and organised by Edinburgh-based Art Amatoria, will take place at Duns Castle on 1st/2nd June 2019.
Our painting weekends are open to everyone, from complete beginners to experienced painters. The emphasis is on individual tuition and Claudia is perfectly placed to guide you through the weekend, having taught for almost twenty years. Students are free to choose their preferred medium and subject and our guests have painted many scenes over the years we have been running the course. From focusing on the interior of the castle to sketching the view through the window across the lake to drawing the exterior architecture and local wildlife, there is plenty to inspire and enjoy.
The cost of the weekend is £320 per person which includes:
- At least ten hours of tuition over two days
- Tea, coffee and refreshments
- Lunch on both days
- A three course dinner with a glass of wine
- Accommodation for one night
- A cooked breakfast
Non painting partners are also welcome (£170 per person – includes all the above except for tuition)
